Exploring ways to improve wellbeing by inviting health, strength and acceptance to our bodies; clarity, openness and resilience to our
Explore Yoga and Wellbeing got created out of my passion and love for fostering healthy, fulfilling, vibrant and joyful life.
All aspects of life affect our wellbeing, especially the state of our physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health, and I hope for this page to be a platform for exploring and sharing ways to positively affect all these areas.
Why yoga?
Yoga comprises many different techniques (including movement and postures; breath awareness and breathing exercises; relaxation and concentration; self-inquiry and meditation) which offer us valuable tools for improving all dimentions of our wellbeing.
Yoga increases our strength and flexibility; improves posture and balance; creates grater vitality and energy levels. Increasing coordination between our minds and our bodies through physical postures, self-inquiry, breathing techniques and meditation (training awareness, concentration and relaxation) balances our central nervous system and relieves stress. Increased self-awareness of our body, mental habits and emotions strengthens our ability to manage our impulses and responses, helping us develop positive relationships between self and others and feel connected. All this creates greater ease, clarity and equanimity within our minds and emotions and promotes a sense of wellbeing. Eventually we begin to transfer these qualities from the mat to our daily life – allowing us to unfold, evolve and thrive. We learn to truly embrace and accept each moment of Life with insight, compassion and equanimity.
Because of all these amazing benefits, through sharing yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices and tips I hope to make a positive impact on the life of others..
There are also many other important factors of wellbeing I want to inquire into and share on this page, like nutrition, resilience, emotional intelligence and... adventure - as we all need to explore and expand our comfort zone in order to grow. Last but not least, the topic of connection - with self, with each other, to nature, and spiritually, to something bigger than ourselves.
